Nathan VaporAir 4 8L

The VaporAir 4.0 8L is Nathan's premium bladder-based hydration vest—built for runners who prefer bladder-based hydration over front flasks and need 8 liters of organized storage for ultra-distance efforts.

Fit That Adapts While You Run – Dual adjustable sternum straps move independently to customize chest compression. The Adaptive-Fit system lets you tighten or loosen torso fit mid-run as your body changes over distance. Your breathing shifts on climbs. Your core swells during ultras. This vest adjusts without forcing you to stop and fumble with buckles. The compression fit stays secure without restricting movement.

Storage for the Distance – Eight liters handles marathon training through 100-mile races. Two upper chest zipper pockets fit your phone or smaller items. Two lower water-resistant zipper pockets accommodate plus-sized phones, salt tablets, or extra hydration flasks up to 22oz. Four front holsters organize gels, headlamp, and nutrition by the hour. The back features a large kangaroo pocket for layers, a zippered pocket for warmers, and a slide-through pocket for jackets or backup flasks.

Breathability That Prevents Sweat Buildup – 3D mesh across shoulders and back creates airflow channels between vest and skin. The mesh isn't the softest against bare skin, but it excels at moving moisture away during hard efforts. Runners testing earlier VaporAir versions report significantly less back sweat compared to solid-fabric vests. The breathable construction matters most during summer training and humid race conditions.

The Bladder System Advantage – The included 2L HydraPak features SlideSeal closure—wide mouth opening for easy filling, fold-over design with slide seal for leak-proof carry. Fill scale lets you monitor fluid volume. Reversible design simplifies cleaning and drying. The quick-release valve delivers water without restricting flow. Magnetic hose clip keeps the tube positioned near your mouth. The bladder sits in a dedicated compartment closest to your body for optimal weight distribution.
