Two world-famous classics can be set up on this field of squares. Both games require smarts and concentration. In chess, each player's goal is to attack his or her opponent's king so the king cannot escape the attack. There's an array of chessmen to help with your endeavor. In checkers, the object is to capture and remove all of an opponent's checkers from the game board via a series of diagonal jumps. Set includes carved wooden chessmen, with felt on the bottom to prevent sliding. Kings measure 3" tall! Also includes wood checkers and illustrated instructions. Hinged storage cabinet unfolds to create an elevated, 16"x16" playing surface. For 2 players.
