This wonderful selection of colorful "designer" aquacultured soft corals which may include any of the following: Kenya Tree Coral (Capnella sp.), Pom Pom Xenia Coral (Xenia sp.), Silver Xenia Coral (Xenia sp.), Zoanthus Coral (Zoanthus sp.), Sarcophyton Toadstool Leather Coral (Sarcophyton sp.), Grube's Gorgonian (Pinnigorgia flava), Vargas Cespitularia Coral (Cespitularia sp.) or similar hand picked soft coral frags.

Corals included in the Oceans, Reefs and Aquariums Soft Coral 5 Pack will thrive under a variety of lighting conditions achieved by T-5s, powerful LEDs or the more intense metal halides. These aquacultured soft corals satisfy the majority of their nutritional requirements by means of photosynthetic, symbiotic zooxanthellae algae hosted within their body. Under the right conditions, the growth rate of aquacultured corals is more rapid than most of the other corals found in an established reef aquarium.

While not as demanding as small polyp stony (SPS) corals, it is still imperative to maintain high water quality with proper pH, alkalinity and calcium levels, while keeping phosphate and nitrate levels as close to zero as possible. If conditions are ideal, these corals can also be cultured and grown into a new colony from living fragments or broken pieces by dedicated or experienced reef hobbyists.

Along with proper lighting and water quality, coral frags included in the Assorted Aquacultured Soft Coral 5 Pack will thrive when provided medium to strong, intermittent water flow within the aquarium. This can be easily achieved with the addition of powerheads, wavemakers, or water circulation pumps. These coral frags will benefit from supplemental feedings in the form of zooplankton or foods designed for corals and invertebrates.

These coral frags are attached to an aragonite plug and can be easily placed in holes or between the rockwork of the reef aquarium.
